Pete Parker, founder and managing director of NPcatalyst LLC, a non-profit consulting firm working with businesses and charities, will discuss the importance of charitable giving, particularly during the holidays.

Pete is a native of North Hollywood, California who moved to Northern Nevada in 1995 to start the alumni and fundraising department at Bishop Manogue High School. His start in the non-profit world began as an undergrad at the University of Arizona, where he was studying horse racing in the school’s Race Track Industry Program. While in school, he was hired to raise funds for college fraternities looking to build new housing. The rest is history.

Serving the non-profit sector since 1990, Pete has impacted hundreds of charitable organizations by providing board development, marketing, and fundraising solutions. He is Founder and Managing Director of NPcatalyst LLC, a non-profit consulting firm working with businesses and charities. Through his company, he is executive director of the Reno Air Racing Foundation and manager of KOLO-TV’s KOLOCares program. He is also co-founder of Greek Ladders, a new company connecting college students and recent graduates to career opportunities. The company is now helping candidates affiliated with over 60 college campuses.

When he’s not making connections, Pete has fun spending time with his wife and children, running and cycling, watching horse racing, volunteering, and cheering on his Arizona Wildcats.
