Welcome Karolina Salamon is from Wroclaw Poland and will be arrived on Monday, August 3, to start her exchange program. She is 16 years old and will be attending Reno High School. She was very excited to get here and start meeting new people. She lives in Wroclaw, population 750,000 and Poland’s 4th largest city, with her parents and a younger brother of 13. She is a very well rounded individual who enjoys not only her school studies, particularly mathematics, but also sporting activities such as swimming, horse back riding, skiing, and snowboarding. Along with all this, she, like all teenagers, still finds time to hang out with her friends and go to the movies. Along with improving her English, her goal is to get a better understanding of our American culture, and to visit as many places in the US as possible. She is very much looking forward to meeting everyone in the club, but is understandably just a little nervous right now.
