Rhonda Faith Shen, lead vocalist, violinist and percussionist with the band Route 66, is originally from Bremerton, Washington.  She left a counseling position at Bates Technical College in Tacoma and moved to Reno to follow her dream of singing in a band.  In addition to performing with Route 66, you might also see her singing with the Sierra Swing Big Band or Music to the Max, a DJ/Karaoke business she runs with her husband, Max.  Although her degree is in education, she has dabbled in theater, both in Tacoma and in Reno.  Her six grandchildren now refer to her as the "Rock 'N Roll Grandma".
